I have a new blog

Like I don't have enough already...

I recently started The Mami Diaries, where I chronicle the challenges, issues, thoughts and advice about mothering. I write the blog like it's really for me... without regard to how my militant views about certain mothering issues will be perceived by those choosing a more mainstream approach. It's Delina chronicling the journey, not Delina hoping to call a truce to Mommy Wars, argue, fight or prove that I'm right. It's how I'm doing it. Take it or leave it. I wanted to keep a record 'cause this double-placenta brain forgets things.

The other places where I blog, besides Girl..., where I get to vent and post about anything and everything...

Our family blog - where I keep our faraway friends and family up-to-date on our family life.

Clutch - the place where I co-blog for pastors' wives under 40.

McPhotos - the photo blog that I never update.

Epidural Shmepidural

I've wanted this t-shirt for a long time...but I don't want to jinx myself... maybe I'll buy it after labor.

Scripture memorization

I've been trying to memorize verses on and off. My recent goal has been to memorize larger portions of scripture...not a whole chapter or anything, but just several verses. I never quite got 1 Corintians 13 cemented in my head....even with my little song... I put that aside for a bit.

Here's the one I did last month, typed by memory.

Psalm 68:1-5 (NLT)

Oh God, You are my God
I earnestly search for you.
My soul thirsts for you.
My whole body longs for you
In this parched and weary land
where there is no water.

I have seen you in your sanctuary
and gazed upon your power and glory
Your unfailing love is better than life itself
Oh how I praise you.

I will praise you as long as I live
Lifting up my hands to you in prayer
You satisfy me better than the richest feast
I will praise you with songs of joy.

Right now I'm working on the last part of Galatians 6:7-10. That last sentence has me stuck. Stay tuned. My placenta brain will not turn to mush!
